The Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development conducted a working visit to the Cocoa cultivation Agropole of Mbalmayo on 11 January 2016 in the presence of his counterparts from Agriculture, and Small and Medium Enterprises.
The factory is being built. It covers 2700 square meters. In some places, the roof peaks point up to 25 meters towards the sky. They can be seen even from the site of the old factory at the warehouses of the railway station of Mbalmayo. Polished steel pillars support the giant framework. However, the cinder blocks do not yet cover all the walls.
This is one of the priorities of the project. In addition, the best of the floor still needs to be coated with concrete. Fortunately, part of the plant has already been cast. Cocoa processing equipment is already in place. The plastic packaging that continues to cover them reflects the novelty of the acquisitions.
